How to Reach?

By Flight

Reach Sikkim by taking a flight to Bagdogra Airport, Siliguri.

By Train

You can reach Sikkim from NJP, which is approximately 7km from Siliguri and 130 km from Gangtok.

By Road

Sikkim can be reached by taking the bus directly from the bus -terminal as it is easily accessible.

Best Time to Visit

Sikkim, the land of magical mountains is preferable to visit in any season, but from October to May is considered as the tourist season. However, interested visitors can go through the monthly break-up below before visiting the magical land.

Summer

During summer the temperature in Sikkim ranges from 28°C to 18°C. Summer starts in Sikkim in early March and ends in May.

Monsoon

Monsoon hits Sikkim from the beginning of June and the temperate in Sikkim rages between 4˚C to 17˚C.

Winter

The moderate temperature during the winter ranges between 4˚C to 17˚C.  Winter begins in Sikkim in October.

Tsomgo Lake
Tsomgo Lake

Tsomgo Lake or Changu Lake is located almost 40 km (25 miles) away from Gangtok in the state capital. In the winter the 3,753 meters lake turns into a frozen beauty surrounded by stunning mountains.  Lake visitors can enjoy a variety of tourist activities including yaks and mules rides, and can savour variety of foods and drinks available at kiosks.

Pelling, is known as a picturesque town located in the West district of Sikkim. The small destination has overtaken Gangtok as the second most visited tourist spot in Sikkim. The location is almost 130 km away from Gangtok and 10 km away from Geyzing. Tourist mostly visits the location because of its breathtaking view of Khangchendzonga and other mountains.
